Understanding, and meeting, the changing needs of customers drives Bristol’s innovative approach to new product development. The focus this year will be on a number of major new products to come to market in 2015.
The completion of the mid-term Technical Refresh of the CPCC (Central PPE and Clothing Contract) sees the introduction of a new, comprehensive range of firefighter protective garments for structural, technical rescue and wildland use. The extension of the previous (ICP) range creates an ideal opportunity for fire and rescue services to consider taking advantage of this no tendering costs, no joining fees national PPE procurement scheme. It offers the most flexible range of procurement options available by including Purchase Only (PO), Purchase Managed Service (PMS) and Fully Managed Service (FMS), the latter offering the full flexibility of a lease contract.
Other new products will be our layered PPE solution, LayerFlex™, in a range which now offers a number of variants including a yellow under jacket with navy outer jacket. Also new this year will be two alternative structural garment constructions incorporating Gore Parallon, which offers enhanced wicking and breathability combined with improved thermal performance. XFlex™ structural and RescueFlex™ USAR garments will also feature prominently.
