When a rescue mission has been launched, and you don’t fully know what you are up against, the new Bronto Skylift F28ALR first response unit is the answer. This first response unit includes everything you need: a fire truck, an aerial platform and a rescue ladder. It can facilitate a large crew and has vast locker space for equipment. The working height is 28 meters and outreach is over 20 meters – best in its class.
When minutes count, the Bronto Skylift F28ALR takes the crew to the emergency site quickly. Shortest transportation length in 28 metre class makes the unit compact and quick to manoeuvre in ordinary traffic and city streets. The unit has variable jacking, which makes it ideal for working in confined spaces and narrow streets. Due to the latest technology, the unit is up and functional within minutes.
The heart of the platform is its water system that discharges water at an outstanding 3,500 litres per minute. The pump is situated in the back of the platform, enabling easy access even in the transport position and thus the F28ALR can be used as a regular fire truck/pumper. The primary water and foam tanks can be adjusted to local requirements, for example 2,000 litres of water and 200 litres of foam. Any commercial pump can be fitted on the platform. Also while the pump is in the rear, it leaves more space for the tailorable equipment lockers and thus allows plenty of space for all necessary tools and equipment.

The spacious and well-equipped rescue cage with 350 kg capacity can be equipped with integrated outlets for water, breathing air, hydraulics and electricity. It can also be equipped with other accessories such as a stretcher or a detachable winch to provide additional assistance in the most demanding rescue operations. The cage comes with heavy duty EN795 compliant safety harness attachment points as standard.
Our priority is that firefighters can focus on their work and always return home safely. The latest Bronto 5+ control system has touch screens, easy navigation and modifiable main menu, as well as integrated quick manuals and situation related help texts. If you prefer regular push buttons instead of resistive touch screen, don’t worry – our screens have those too. The Bronto 5+ provides precise, smooth and stable movements even in the most severe operating conditions.
“To us safety is also about creating a safer working environment for the people using our machines. Our Bronto 5+ control system increases the overall safety of the fire fighters by letting the them focus on their job; fighting fires and rescuing people.” says Jouni Törnqvist, Head of R&D, Bronto Skylift.
First 5 units have already been delivered to Asia and 8 more are on the pipeline. “We are very happy about the way our new F28ALR has been received in the market so far.” says Harry Clayhills, MD, Bronto Skylift.
