As part of ambitious new plans for its compliance operation, global certification expert Bureau Veritas has appointed Neal Holden as the new business unit director of its Health and Safety Inspection (HSI) division.
Already active in his new role, Neal is responsible for driving the strategic development of this core division as well as helping to boost the operational performance of the UK business as a whole. As such, Neal will focus on creating new business opportunities and honing existing customer relationships through process improvement and leveraging world-class technology.
With more than 20 years of experience under his belt, Neal joins the company from ISS Technical Services where, as the compliance director, he successfully spearheaded business transformation projects that improved the performance, profitability and customer experience of the firm’s water, fire and electrical services.
Over the span of his career, Neal has also worked with other leading firms such as Mitie and PHS Compliance. The latter he spent eight years in a number of roles including head of operations and head of corporate account development.
He hopes to use this impressive track record in service and compliance by looking at ways Bureau Veritas can utilise the latest advancements in technology to improve efficiency while refining and simplifying existing processes.
Commenting on his new position, Neal said: “I’m delighted to join Bureau Veritas at such a pivotal time for the business.
“With compliance across a number of sectors proving increasingly difficult and complex to achieve, using an expert consultancy partner to stay abreast of regulatory changes and demonstrate best practice has never been more important for many of our new and existing clients.
“As such, my plan is to ensure that the customer experience with Bureau Veritas is not just professional and technically sound, but also the ease of transaction from initial order to receiving our report and invoice is swift, clear and easily accessible. In essence, I hope to elevate Bureau Veritas’ position as a trusted advisor to customers and the partner of choice within the industry.”
Ken Smith, chief executive officer at Bureau Veritas, adds: “With his invaluable industry experience, I have no doubt that Neal will be a real asset to the business, especially when it comes to providing a more strategic, customer-focused service for our compliance clients based on the latest technological innovations. I look forward to seeing him make his mark on the compliance division and drive the business forward on a national level.”
