MT236 gas powered LEADER Fan:
Powerful, MT236 exceeds 43,100m³/h (26,129CFM) of PPV air movement in open air airflow and about 29 539m³/h (17,671CFM) as tested in accordance with AMCA 240!
The MT236 is equipped with a new monobloc protective shroud to maximize the resilience and sturdiness of this part from shocks during use. It preserves all the performances of the Easy Pow’Air LEADER fans.
LEADER fans remain unequalled in their performance thanks to the Easy Pow’Air Technology patented concept of concentration of the jet!
This technology patented by LEADER is specific to LEADER fans and combines the following main advantages:
- Very concentrated jet which uses all of the air flow generated,
- Ambient air is drawn by the speed and shape of the air jet,
- Great set back with optimum position at a distance of between 0.90 and 6 meters (3 and 20 feet) from the opening,
- Quick and easy to position with a +10° automatic tilt.
Compact, it is easily stored in any locker on a fire truck. Furthermore, it’s very easy to handle even in very adverse terrain thanks to its large wheels at the back.
COMBINED VENTILATION TECHNIQUE
The MT236 blower fan is usually used with an electric auxiliary fan in operational ventilation also known as combined ventilation.
This technique developed by LEADER with the support of professional firefighters gave birth to a special kit that proposes a master fan (eg. MT236 fan or bigger fan) used in conjunction with the SR460 relay fan. Used more and more, this technique is applied by firefighters from major cities around the world such as Santiago de Chile, Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, etc… It confirms the growing interest in combined ventilation.
This technique consists of:
Positioning a master fan with a high power (eg. MT236) at the ground floor at the entrance of a building in order to pressurize the stairwell and,
Attacking the fire by relaying the airflow created by using an auxiliary fan (SR460) at the floor on fire to relay and orientate the airflow into the volume on fire.
A window or another opening will have been created before any ventilation to allow the smoke out.
Combining defensive ventilation and offensive ventilation, this technique allows fast and controlled evacuation of smoke and hot gases. It helps to fight more effectively against fires in apartments by combining the air and the water during the extinguishing operation while increasing the safety of the firefighter in action. This technique increases the visibility and decreases the temperature. It also avoids the spread of fire.
