The Fire Safety Forum UAE is held annually by the General Command of Civil Defence to recognize achievements and trends in the firefighting, building and fire protection industries.
Under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Interior and under the leadership of Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, General Director of Dubai Civil Defence, the Forum drives thought leadership and resilience-building strategies for the protection of civilians and property in the UAE.
The Forum is one of the longest-running government-led initiatives in the UAE involving international peers and the private industry. Since its launch in 2010, the Forum has grown into the leading annual platform for local and international fire safety experts with the aim to promote forward-thinking solutions. The event creates a unique space for dedicated brands to demonstrate and communicate their commitment and expertise in safety. Through addressing current and future challenges brands position themselves publicly and reach decision-makers from the government and private sector.
Over the course of the past 10 years, the Forum has helped industry partners not only to be recognized for their achievements but also to a constructive dialogue with Civil Defence and their industry counterparts. Following the theme “Our successes shape future permanency”, the 10th edition of the Fire Safety Forum looks at crucial advances in safety standards implemented in this important decade for Dubai and the UAE. Coinciding with the year of Expo 2020 which will bring millions of international visitors to the country it also recognizes milestones achieved in fire safety today, and the road map ahead.
The Forum takes place at the Versace hotel in Dubai on 8. April 2020.
