In an ever-increasing number of countries all over the world, the use of compressed air foam for various types of fires is being embraced as a crucially important extinguishing medium next to or even instead of low-pressure water.
On the one hand, the reason for this is the more than excellent practical experiences of firefighters all over the world with compressed air foam, for instance during wildfires but also during urban fires as well as during liquid fires.
In addition, the many international studies, which at present have been and are being conducted into the extinguishing, but also the smoke-cooling properties of compressed air foam, prove that CAFS is a more than excellent addition to, or even a replacement for existing extinguishing tools of firefighters.
The time is therefore right for an international and – especially – brand independent 2-day symposium relating to compressed air foam under the name iCAFS, that will be held on 19 & 20 September 2018 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
During this first iCAFS edition experts in the field of firefighting from all over the world will give a presentation on various current topics such as recent international scientific research, CAFS standards, the implementation and usage of compressed air foam at various international fire brigades, as well as the importance of training. But for instance also the usage of CAFS during rural and industrial fires as well as the effects of foam on the environment.
Make sure that you do not miss this unique CAFS knowledge event on 19th and 20th September next in Amsterdam, the Netherlands!
