The PhoneHug is a versatile phone accessory that fits all popular smartphones. PhoneHug super grips your phone and attaches it to you via a lanyard offering security, innovation and freedom to everyone who often need easy access to their phone.
Manchester-based photographer turned entrepreneur Sam Fairbrother and her husband Geoff Barke invented PhoneHug in 2013. The idea started out as a rough drawing and after many prototypes, PhoneHug has developed to fit all popular smartphone models.

PhoneHug is made from recyclable silicone and is available in a range of vibrant colours. It’s the perfect piece of kit for festivals, walking, water sports, snow sports, climbing; anywhere there’s a risk of loss or damage to your phone.
It’s aimed at customers who lead a very active lifestyle such as firefighters and anyone who loves the outdoors such as: winter sports, water sports, festival goers, travellers, hikers and dog walkers. The product is useful to a wide customer base from millennials to the elderly and is a boon to those with health issues and disabilities.
PhoneHug can be worn in several ways with a lanyard of your choice; across the body; over the shoulder, around the wrist, around the neck, clipped to a belt, or just conveniently hung up nearby.
Designer Sam Fairbrother commented:
‘PhoneHug is a wonderful product that we’re very proud to have developed. It’s unique in the phone accessory market because it’s the only holder that has a strong and robust loop that grips tightly to the phone and can be easily fitted or removed in seconds.

‘For a product that retails at £8.95 it really is a no-brainer offering full peace of mind for phone users for the price of one month’s phone insurance.
‘And, of course, it’s a gift that everyone can use and enjoy!’

Company Bio
PhoneHug was established when husband and wife team, photographer Sam Fairbrother and Geoff Barke, a concert runner, discussed their concerns about phone theft and loss in their own industries as well as the many phone-related accidents that had occurred in their careers.

Sam Fairbrother created the initial drawing and a series of prototypes before the final PhoneHug design was ready. During prototyping, it was tested with sailors, snowboarders, photographers, ramblers, horse riders, festival-goers and backstage crews. It made its debut at Hideout Festival, followed by Glastonbury, WOMAD and Creamfields. The testers loved it and soon after the first model was on sale. Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
PhoneHug has full EU patents and registered design rights.
