The world is constantly changing, and according to the latest reports on climate change the emission of gases to the atmosphere has a growing importance in the sustainability of our planet. On the other hand, with the growing need to mitigate risks for the operator, Jacinto in parallel developed a system for an unmanned vehicle. With this premise, Jacinto has invested since 2015 in an innovation project for a 100% unmanned electric vehicle. This vehicle was already presented to the public in May 2019 at Segurex – Security Fair held in Lisbon, Portugal – having even won the Innovation Award, and in June 2021 the final version tested and certified at Intershutz will be presented.
Eco-Camões, the first 100% electric fire fighting vehicle that can be unmanned and fully controlled remotely.
A completely disruptive project is referred to as a vehicle 6×6 (29 tons) with the integration of 5 to 145 kW each, with four motors for traction motor and one part for the extinction (pump). It has 275 kw of batteries to power the entire system. This vehicle complies with all international standards ICAO, NFPA and EN 1846 and CEM (Electromagnetic certification) allowing the vehicle to be able to fight from industrial, forest, urban and airport fires.
The Eco-Camões can be controlled up to 1 km away, that is, the operator with a control panel will be able to view the entire environment, controlling the entire extinction part (pump, foam system, monitors …) and also the acceleration , braking and steering the vehicle.
Eco-Camões thus revolutionizes the concept of fire fighting, reducing the risk to the operator when fighting fires to zero.

U-EJAC – Electric Urban Vehicle
U-EJAC is Jacinto’s new 100% electric urban firefighting vehicle model. Compact, with optimized ergonomics, high acceleration, and an integrated Jacinto cabin certified by ECR-29, it offers its crew members safety and greater space for their operation. With a range of 400km or 4 hours of pump operation, and a capacity of 2000l of water and 200l of foam, this vehicle has a pump that complies with EN 1028 that high pressure makes 250l/min @ 40 bar and low pressure makes 3000 l/min @ 10 bar, this pump is powered by electric energy.
This vehicle with E-drive (zero emissions) and no noise emission, has a Jacinto control system based on CAN-bus lines for the entire electrical system of the vehicle.
