On Friday November the 4th, 2016, Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White administered the Oath of Allegiance and presenting certificates to the San Francisco Fire Department’s graduating class of 51 Entry Level Firefighters. Eleven of the 51 are Firefighter Paramedics from the Department’s EMS Division, and will be enhancing our Engine based Paramedic services.
“This group of men and women have completed a rigorous 20-week Fire Academy,” said Chief Hayes-White. “Some will report to their new station assignments, marking the beginning of their year-long probationary period, as early as Saturday, November the 5th.”
Joining the ranks will be a diverse group of men and women from all walks of life including former military personnel, EMS responders, Firefighters and more. These dedicated men and women are embarking on the beginning of a rewarding career with San Francisco’s finest. It will be a proud celebration for the new members, their families and the San Francisco Fire Department.
