Sir Richards Branson’s exclusive “Ulusaba” game reserve in South Africa has taken delivery of this Tempest Fire Services “First Attack” fire-fighting and crash rescue vehicle.
The Ulusaba game reserve consists of approximately 13,500 hectares of land which is set in the heart of the Sabi Sand private game reserve. This private game reserve with its especial accommodation boasts its own airstrip and borders the sprawling Kruger National Park in South Africa’s Mpumalanga province which is home to an abundance of stunning wildlife.
This First Attack fire & rescue vehicle is based on a Toyota Land Cruiser 79SC diesel pick-up featuring a 4.2 litre 6 in Line diesel engine and seating for a driver and two crew. Fire-engineering includes a pressurised foam producing system, a 680 litre pre-mixed foam tank, two side-lines plus a manually operated Protek roof mounted monitor rated at 680 lpm. This multi-role fire-tender is fitted with a front mounted winch and carries various fire-fighting and crash rescue apparatus.
