Veikko Nummela OY is a leading Finnish manufacturer of fire pumps under the brand name ESTERI. In addition to vehicle mounted pumps, we also manufacture portable and submersible pumps and other equipment for the transportation of water for fire-fighting. Our customers include vehicle and truck manufacturers as well as fire-fighting and rescue agencies from all around the world.
Build quality is of paramount importance to our company. All our employees are highly trained and take great pride in every unit that passes through our doors. We have fire pumps that are still in service from when they were first built 50 years ago.
Mr Veikko Nummela founded the company in the city of Kaarina which is about 90 minutes from Helsinki the capital city. The company still operates from the factory in Kaarina which was built in 1979 and expanded in 1997.
In addition to the manufacture of fire pumps, the current owners acquired TR-Vesitykit OY which manufactures fire-fighting monitors for fire-fighting and rescue vehicles. To further complement the pump and monitor business, a further company was formed which specialises in the manufacture of couplings and nozzles as well as extinguishing agents.
