Based at Woodway’s head office and manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Coventry, Rob will be responsible for driving the strategic vision of the company moving forward.
Joining Woodway from the Manufacturing Technology Centre, where he took on the role of Chief Engineer – Head of Product Manufacturing Incubator, Rob Almond has previous experience of working with Woodway, heading up the team working on several key projects such as weight reduction in Woodway’s Night Owl mast system.
Commenting on his appointment at Woodway Engineering, Rob Almond said: “Woodway is a long, established, privately owned company with respected values and a reputation for excellence, delivering real customer value for over 50 years. I look forward to leading Woodway, to continue building on this, and develop the business in line with our strategic intent.”
Rob brings with him extensive business experience, especially in sales, both in the UK and internationally. His career to date has seen him carving success from both a technical and commercial perspective, as well as educating the next generation of engineers as a lecturer, teaching aspects of aeronautical and mechanical engineering.
