On Saturday, March 14th 2015 Ziegler Brandweertechniek B.V. delivered three new fire engines to the municipality of Halderberge in the Netherlands. These fire engines are intended for the fire departments Hoeven, Oudenbosch and Oud-Gastel. This specific delivery includes and marks the 1000th fire engine which has been produced by Ziegler Brandweertechniek, since the opening of their new plant in 1994. Ziegler Brandweertechniek B.V. has a history dating back to 1953, when the first fire engine left the gates of the company.
These three fire engines of the community Halderberge are the 1st trucks of a series of 26 fire engines which have been delivered to the Fire Brigade Midden- en West-Brabant. The vehicles are built on a Volvo FE 320 HP chassis. The superstructure is made of ALPAS, a very durable and easy to change construction of aluminium panels. The vehicles are equipped with a Ziegler pump and have a tank capacity of 2000 litres water and 150 litres foam. In addition, the vehicles are equipped with a hydraulically driven generator and an ergonomically Ziegler Z-control operation and control panel.
